  1. Limited Edition Two LP set of Gram Vinyl. 21 tracks of The Kinks Live with their One For The Road album which was released in and it went #14 in the US. The majority of the live recordings were from shows in throughout Europe and the US/5().

  2. The first album I got is Arthur and I listened to it about 3 or 4 times the day I got it, then decided I just had to listen to their live stuff. They're really something else. One for the Road is one of the greatest live performances I've listened (and I'm a big Who fan) ever. Great music for all times/5().

  6. In his review of the album for Smash Hits, David Hepworth said that the album was "as convincing an argument for banning live albums as you'll find". In their brief review, Allmusic wrote that "One for the Road is a fascinating document of trailblazing elder statesmen who paved the way for heavy metal and punk, but never felt a glorious pop song was out of their grasp.".

  7. The Kinks released their third live album of their long distinguished careers with `One for the Road' in June of but for all intents and purpose this was their first real live release. Also the band was in the middle of a career renaissance due to the fact that American audiences were finally embracing them and not just as an old novelty /5().
